Pre-Design Deliverables: Creative Brief
Use the text editor (and spell-checker!) of your choice to compose a creative brief. Print it out and hand it in. The brief should follow this format: ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 1. Basic Information: (can literally just fill in blanks below) a. Project Name: b. Project Summary: [a single-minded sentence that will describe the project when implemented.] 2. project: (in complete sentences, as paragraph[s]) a. overview/explanation b. background information c. problem d. solution/strategy e. purpose/goals/objectives 3. media: (in complete sentences, as paragraph[s]) a. chosen media (html, flash, cobination, backend software) b. collaborative assistants and their roles (if applicable) c. legacy issues -- how/by whom will project be maintained, or will it? 4. tone/manner/look/feel/personality: (in complete sentences, as paragraph[s]) [Use descriptive adjectives to describe overall design approach.] 5. constraints/considerations/obstacles/cautions: (in complete sentences, as paragraph[s]) [known issues to watch out for -- in terms of client, feasibility, etc.] 6. production schedule: (This is defined by the class, and will be the same for everyone, but go ahead and include it anyway.) 2 weeks -- pre-design/research 2 weeks -- design 2 weeks -- development 2 weeks -- testing/implementation ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ |
